Sun and Flower

Journey to Gundlupete

We all have that childhood sweetheart girls’ gang we cherish. For some, it’s just a sweet memory now, they may don't even have contact. For others, it’s an occasional call or message. And then, there are a few lucky ones like me, who are still together....Yes, my girls’ gang is still same!
We live in the same city, we meet often, hang out, laugh endlessly, and stand by each other. Honestly, this was our childhood dream. I still remember how we used to say, “One day, we’ll watch movies together, go on trips, and do everything as a gang.” Back then, it didn’t really happen. I recall my 10th standard school trip to Bangalore. Three of my closest friends couldn’t join, and I felt so incomplete. The trip was fun, but without our craziness, it just wasn’t the same.

And yet, life has its own way of surprising us. Today, the four of us live in Bangalore—the very city we once couldn’t visit together. Now we go for movies, share endless laughter, and even manage to find our own “Valli case” moments which was meant to go in other direction, but Nooooo we will go to those valli's and feel "we are trapped" and laugh about it with the same unity and madness as before. Now you guys will get the idea how stupid we areπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.We may not be on international trips (yet!), but honestly, these little things mean the world to me. I’m truly grateful for how life has turned out.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s this: Believe with all your heart. What’s meant for you will always find its way. You don’t have to chase it.

Our journey started with a single phone call.
“There are sunflowers in Gundlupet.”
“Nammak poyalo.” (Let’s go!)

Perfect timing Ganesh Chaturthi was around the corner, and Wednesday was a holiday. The plan was simple: crash at my room, book an Uber to the railway station, catch the train to Mysore, then hop on a bus to Gundlupet. Easy, right?

Wrong. What followed was pure chaos wrapped in comedy.

The “Valli Case” πŸ•΅️‍♂️

Tuesday night was dedicated to what we call a “Valli Case.” Don’t ask me why. It’s not a case. It’s just… a vibe. Let’s just say Heisenberg’s famous line—“I am the danger”—feels like it was written for us. Naturally, we didn’t sleep a second that night.

At 4:15 AM, with a 4:30 train to catch, we were still calling an Uber. Enter the Hell Rider Uber guy, our personal Vin Diesel who somehow dropped us at the station by 4:32. Luckily, the train was two minutes late. Thank you, railway gods. πŸ™

The Platform Olympics πŸƒ‍♂️πŸ’¨

Now came the real mission: find Platform 6.
We run through the station like athletes—Platform 1, Platform 5, Platform 9… but no 6. Why do we always end up on every platform except the one we actually need? By some divine grace, we made it in time. The moment we got on, we burst out laughing and decided to take a nap. The train was nearly empty, dead silent. We found a cozy three-seater. Opposite us, a guy was lying down, head wrapped completely in cloth like Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. Our first thought: Is he even breathing? We stared until his stomach finally moved up and down. Phew. Crisis averted.

Dolby Atmos Uncle πŸŽ§πŸ˜‚

Silence again. Eyes closing. Peace. And then… Out of nowhere, the sound of reels BLASTS across the compartment: “Yaayieaa… ayaieaaa!” We snapped awake, turned left, and there he was an old uncle, sitting with a straight face, watching reels like it was his full-time job. The volume? Dolby Atmos, IMAX, 7.1 surround sound. We didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Finally, the reel marathon ended. He put the phone aside. Phewww. We relaxed.

Across from him sat an  aunty, his wife, both dressed in matching yellow outfits. Cute, romantic… until she picked up her phone. We exchanged that helpless “what do we do now?” look. Luckily, her reels weren’t as loud. Sleep seemed possible again.

But twenty minutes later: BAM! Another round of “ayieayiaa njenjenjee…” echoed through the compartment. We woke up  eyes watery, faces grumpy, lips curled in anger. I finally gathered courage and asked him, politely, to keep it down. With the sweetest smile, uncle replied, “Oookeeyy.” Poor yellow guy.(Now when i look back they feel like sunflowers, both in yellow, charming, vibrant as sunflowersπŸ˜‚πŸ’›). Not long after, the couple got down at the next station. Peace returned. The train felt lighter, emptier. We even found seats to lie down.My friend set an alarm for 7:45. The train was supposed to reach Mysore at 7:15. By some miracle, she woke up early and shook us awake. I said, “I’m not getting up, let me sleep.” She scolded, dragged me out, and we stumbled onto the platform. We started walking straight, not sure if it was the right way. But honestly, who cares? At least Dolby Atmos Uncle was gone.

The Great Food Hunt & Auto AdventuresπŸ˜‹πŸ›Ί

Our trip started with a simple mission: find food. The first place we entered was a grand-looking hotel that felt more like the Tanjavur temple than a restaurant. For a moment, I was genuinely confused should I order or start praying? Then we saw the menu. Let’s just say, the prices looked like I’d have to sell my house just to pay for a dosa. Since our trip was strictly budget-friendly, we quickly backed out and walked on.

That’s when we spotted a Thattukada a humble roadside eatery. We ordered something that looked like dosa and sambar. At least, that’s what they called it. The taste, however, seemed like it came from another galaxy altogether. While we were eating, my friend suddenly turned to a guy behind us and confidently asked, “Yeshtu?” (How much?). The man looked confused and replied, “What?” Turns out, he wasn’t the waiter he was an auto driver who had just come there to eat. We were still proud though my friend had managed to throw in Kannada, even if it was at the wrong person!

What followed was classic travel drama. The auto driver tried to overcharge us ₹300 for a ride that Uber showed as ₹35. We felt smart and booked Uber instead. But in our excitement, I jumped into the wrong Uber, proudly waving at the other auto drivers like I’d just won a battle. The pride didn’t last long I had to sheepishly get out when I realized it wasn’t my cab. Finally, the real Uber arrived. I gave a grand farewell wave to all the auto drivers who were still laughing at our confusion, and we left for the bus stand.

At the bus stand, at least, we made one right decision we calculated carefully and chose the correct side to sit: the one with perfect sunlight on our faces.

And that’s how our “food hunt” turned into a full-blown comedy of errors.

Lost in Gundlupet🌻🌻

We finally reached Gundlupet and got down, excited to see the famous sunflower fields. My friend told me, “The field is just 650 meters away.” That was all the motivation we needed—we started marching.

First mistake: we took a right instead of a left. After a while, we realized it, crossed the road, and kept walking. People on the way stared at us like we had just landed from another planet. In my head, there was background music playing[kri kri kri kri] because honestly, three people in white tops and blue jeans, walking with so much confidence in wrong direction, must have looked ridiculous. We walked further into what felt like a village. No sunflowers in sight. Instead, we stumbled upon a Malayalee mutton stall. The meat hanging outside didn’t even look like mutton to me, but we ignored it and checked Google Maps again. “Arrived at destination,” it proudly announced. But all we saw was the stall, no fields, no flowers, nothing. We asked a local, and he laughed, “Google Maps is wrong. Many people make the same mistake.” Great. We had walked all that way for nothing.

So, we retraced our steps and finally found an auto. Bargaining mode activated. The driver asked for ₹180, but bargaining runs in my blood. I pushed for ₹150, then ₹170. He refused, I said at least ₹175. With a dramatic sigh, he agreed. I think he realized I was going to be a pain in his ass. At last, we reached the real sunflower field. Entry fee: ₹20. Worth it.

We walked through the tall, golden flowers, reached the end, and turned back. That’s when the magic happened all the sunflowers were facing us. The entire field looked alive, like they were dancing in the wind just for us. After all the wrong turns, stares, and bargaining, the view made everything worth it. Sometimes, getting lost is the best part of the journey.

A trek to Hills through Chendumalli Fields 🌼

From where we stood, a hill rose in the distance. And of course, if there’s a hill, we’re climbing it. That’s the rule. We started walking along the road, and a guy passing by said, “It’s 15 km.” Fifteen? Huh, who cares! The climate was too good to stop breezy, cloudy, and cool. The kind of weather that makes you forget distances. People in vehicles could never feel what we felt. On both sides of the road stretched endless fields bright orange and yellow chendumalli flowers swaying in the wind, and lush green banana plantations adding to the magic. It was like walking through a painting. After a while, though, we realized the road was long, too long. Then, across the road, another hill caught our eye. Without hesitation, we changed our plan. Why stick to one hill when another calls?  Crossing over, we found ourselves on a path that felt like a secret.

The trail through fields of chendumalli in different shades, fields of cabbage, and narrow mud tracks sooooooo slim that only one foot could fit at a time. We had to walk in a line, one after the other. First came the green fields, then yellow chendumalli. Standing in the middle of it all, surrounded by colors, it felt magical. We sat there for a while, letting the cool breeze wash over us, listening to old Malayalam songs.
As we walked further, we came across some truly wonderful human beings. Often, people warn us, “Don’t go there,” but instead of caution, we found warmth and support. Among them was a sweet little family Madhavan Chettan, his wife, and their young son. They welcomed us with peanuts and guavas, and I cherished that moment deeply.

What struck me the most was the peace in their simple life. A small family in a small home, surrounded by nature’s beauty the sound of birds at morning, a playful goat, vibrant flowers, endless greenery. No pollution, no honking, no constant glow of screens...just life in its purest form. It reminded me of the beauty of simplicity. For the first time in my life, I touched a goat there it was such a delightful experience! We then walked through fields of orange chendumalli, their brightness painting the path.We walked through paths covered in thrones and some plants. Along the way, another couple warned us not to go further because of tigers. A playful thought crossed my mind—“It’s okay, I watched Pulimurugan 11 times!”

Soon, we saw cows grazing on the hillside slopes, guarded by dogs whose barks will keep tigers away(I guess). Standing there, I realized there is two possibilities if we went more up: the dogs might bite us, or the tiger might eat us. So, we chose a third option sit on a rock, look back, and enjoy in the view of the path we had just traveled.

And in that moment, it struck me life is just like this. No matter how far you go, always take a moment to look back. You’ll see the incredible journey you’ve walked, the beautiful paths like chendumalli fields and the thorny ones that challenged you. Each step, whether easy or hard, has something to teach. And that is the true beauty of life.

The Return JourneyπŸ›€πŸ”™

From there, we booked our return train tickets and made our way down the hill. A KSRTC bus carried us to Gundlupet, from where we finally reached the railway station. Inside the train, it was the usual scene of typical Indian travel crowds, chatter, vendors, and little dramas unfolding in every corner. Instead of getting annoyed, we decided to take it all in with a smile, turning the chaos into comedy.

By the time we reached Bangalore, we were so tired. We checked into our rooms, and I headed straight for a long, refreshing bath. The moment I lay down, I could feel the pain in my legs. But honestly, I’ve always loved these kind of pain it’s the sweet reminder of everything I’ve pushed through and achieved on the journey. With that thought, I  slept like a baby.

NB: We truly missed “S,” our fourth member, who couldn’t join us this time.

Sometimes, the best journeys are the unplanned ones—the ones where you change your path halfway and discover a little piece of magic. 🌿🎢

Breeze and Peace

Bugle Rock Park

It was a Sunday evening, and like always, I was restless, wondering where to go. After a lot of Googling, I stumbled upon Bugle Rock Park. I love rocks, I love nature so it was settled. Bugle Rock Park, here I come!

I booked an Uber, and while waiting near my cross, a light drizzle began. The scene was magical the golden-yellow sun, fresh green leaves, tiny droplets of rain sparkling in the air with the Tyndall effect playing its charm. Children were riding their cycles from one end of the road to the other, carefree and joyful. I stood there smiling, soaking it all in. The happiness of people, the peace in the air, the beauty of the world ...it was all perfect.

My Uber arrived. Even after I got in, the drizzle continued, though the weather still felt warm. But the moment I reached Bugle Rock Park, everything changed. The air turned cooler, a gentle breeze was going through my hair, and I instantly felt refreshed.

The first thing that caught my eye was a giant tree it reminded me of the mystical trees from the Avatar movie. For a moment, I wished I could be Neytiri—jumping from tree to tree, watching glowing leaves, riding a Na’vi creature, flying into the sky, sleeping on the trees, their water all the greenery. Every time i watch the movie i want to become Neytiri and i wanted to be in that village and protect the nature at all cost. My imagination took me away, and I laughed at myself—oops, got carried away!

Inside the park, it felt like I had stepped into a little forest. Only patches of the sky peeked through the dense cover, and the sun’s rays found their way to my face. I secretly wished for rain so I could dance in it, but the clouds held back. Instead, I sat down under the trees on a bench and softly sang a Malayalam song:"Thumbi va thumbakudathil…" 🎢

The lyrics felt like they were written for that exact moment.

It is also a good place to fall in love, to talk, to sit there and look into each others eyes like Neyitri and Jake. Unfortunately that didn't happen🀣

As the evening darkened, I booked another Uber to head home. And just then it began pouring heavily. I couldn’t help but laugh and think, Why couldn’t this rain come earlier when I was under the trees? But still, it was a perfect evening.

And oooh i forgot to mention this place gives me vibes like Bali not beaches i am talking about but something... i don't know what, even if i have never been there but soon i will🧜🏻‍♀✨.

If you love huge rocks, nature, silence, and peace, visit Bugle Rock Park. Just sit there, breathe it in, and you’ll feel alive and deeply grateful.

A Quick Escape into History

Bangalore Fort & Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace

Today, I woke up with that spontaneous urge to go somewhere, anywhere really. I picked up my phone and started searching for nearby places to explore. That’s when I stumbled upon Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. Just behind it, I noticed Bangalore Fort. I was a bit confused, where should I go? Then I saw on Google Maps that both are right next to each other. Perfect! Two places in one trip.

With that sorted, I grabbed a chilled mango juice (a must for sunny Bangalore days) and booked an Uber. But as I settled into the auto, my imagination kicked in, as it always does.I was listening to old Malayalam melody songs, always been a fan of those. There’s something magical about old songs, right? The new ones are nice, sure, but the old ones have a soul of their own.I started picturing the olden days. Instead of a driver and an auto, there would’ve been a majestic horse and a knight riding through the dusty paths. The idea made me smile.

Bangalore never fails to surprise me. It’s a city full of life, traffic, tech, and chaos but somehow, it always hides these quiet, historical gems right in the middle of it all. And KR Market, one of the busiest and most chaotic parts of the city, is exactly where this fort and palace are tucked away. It’s almost poetic. The contrast hit me immediately. On one side, the noise of honking autos, people shouting prices in the market, the usual hustle. And then, as you step into the palace or the fort, there's silence. Peace. A sudden rewind into a very different time.

Once I got down, paid the Uber, and looked around, I was greeted by a security guard who pointed me toward the entrance. I followed the way in and there it stood  a small fort. Tiny, really.... but oh, so charming. It wasn’t about the size; it had this quiet power, a kind of elegance tucked into simplicity, surrounded by greenery. There were two entrances. I took the one on the left and right there, near the second entrance, I noticed a very tiny tunnel. My heart lit up adventure! I’ve always loved it. Doesn’t matter how big or small it is,if there’s a tunnel, I’m going in. So I did.

As I wandered around, I felt this deep sense of peace. There weren’t many people, which made it even more special. I sat on a fallen pillar, soaked in the atmosphere, and played a Malayalam song from “Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi” ,a song close to my heart. The calm air, the silence, the song… it made me feel incredibly happy. Free. Independent.I stayed there for quite a while, just being. Until a crowd showed up and the quiet started fading.

From there, I walked for about six minutes and reached Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. The entrance process was digital , scan a QR code, buy tickets online, and show it to the security. Smooth and modern.

Inside, the palace was again not massive but beautiful in its own way. A path cut through the middle with lush lawns on either side. The architecture instantly pulled me in wooden pillars, intricate steps, the symmetry, the calm cool air despite the chaos of the city outside.

I roamed around, soaked in the history, and then made my way to the garden. Sat there for a long time and I can hear birds chirping, a soft breeze dancing around, all while the traffic hummed somewhere in the distance. It felt surreal. Like a bubble of serenity inside a busy city.

I went back inside the palace once more, not ready to leave just yet. When I finally did, I sat on a bench near the exit. From there, I could see a beautiful temple gopuram nearby, perfectly framed in the scene. It was the perfect end.

These places might not make it to the "top 10 must-visit" lists for tourists. But for those who find joy in the details, in peeling paint, worn-out stones, and the silence that speaks louder than crowds, this is a hidden gem.Sometimes, I feel like these places are just waiting for someone to notice them. Not the whole world. Just someone. Someone who walks in with an open heart and a bit of curiosity. So if you’re someone who likes to slow down, listen, and soak in the soul of a place, leave the big names for another day. Come here. You won’t be disappointed.

And then, I headed home  with a royal kind of satisfaction in my heart.

A Magical Sunday Morning Escape

A Sudden Trip to Mandaragiri Hills

Some of the best experiences in life come unplanned. One such adventure unfolded on a Sunday morning when we decided to embark on a sudden bike trip to Mandaragiri Hills, situated about 63 km from Bengaluru in Tumkur District. The journey itself was nothing short of an adventure, with the crisp morning air adding to the thrill of the ride.

The Journey: A Ride Through the Morning Bliss

The ride itself felt like an adventure. The crisp morning air brushed against our faces, awakening every sense. The roads stretched endlessly before us, and with every turn, the anticipation grew stronger. We stopped at a roadside tea stall, where my friends pamperred themselves in a warm cup of tea. Being someone who isn’t fond of tea, I simply stood there, soaking in the atmosphere and watching the world wake up.It was around 5:30 AM when the sun finally peeked through the horizon. As we rode, the sky painted a masterpiece. On one side, hues of deep blue and pink lingered, while behind us, the sun emerged with a fiery glow of orange and red. Looking back, I felt like I was riding away from a mystical gateway, a portal to another world where light opened the doors to endless possibilities.

One view that truly mesmerized me was when my friend pointed toward a hill, there stood a giant tomb-like stone, and just above it, the bright full moon. It felt magical, like a piece of art the universe had crafted just for us. I was grateful, not just for the view but for the experience, for the sheer excitement of being present in that moment.

Arrival at Mandaragiri: A Moment of Stillness

After a breathtaking ride, we reached Mandaragiri just in time for sunrise. As I stood at the bottom of the hill, I saw the widened steps leading to the top. Excited, I hopped on them and walk, eager to reach on top.On the way I looked back in an interval to see the view behind me.As the golden rays slowly illuminated the landscape, the world around me felt still. The sun rising between the mountains, the whispering breeze, the towering hills,it all felt magical. For a brief moment, nothing else mattered. I looked at the rays of the sun and let the warmth of the sun kiss my face, a rare and beautiful moment of solitude and peace.I stood there and thought when was the last time I saw such a perfect sunrise? And the answer was NIL.

Inside the temple, we found a grand Buddha statue surrounded by numerous smaller statues of devotees. The artwork was mesmerizing, detailed, and full of stories. We sat on the temple steps, chatting about everything and nothingπŸ˜‚,the passing train in the distance, a drone playfully chasing us in the sky, and the joy of being in a place so untouched by the chaos of everyday life.

A Fairytale Lake and the Path to Terabithia

We then looked to the other side of the hill, where a misted lake awaited us. Mist hovered over the water, making the entire scene look like something out of a fantasy novel. For a fleeting moment, I felt I had stepped into the world of Bridge to Terabithia, a hidden realm beyond reality. Standing there, staring at the mist-covered lake, I imagined myself diving in and swimming to a world where time slowed down. Not far from the lake, we spotted a lone tree standing tall, almost like a guardian of the landscape, silently witnessing the world unfold in all directions. Nearby, a small rock bench invited us to sit and absorb the beauty around us. The bench was cool against my skin, grounding me in the present moment, yet my mind wandered into dreams of escaping to an unseen paradise.
From there we followed a straight mud road that ran parallel to the lake. On one side, coconut trees swayed lazily, while on the other, the lake reflected the morning sun. While walking I could see ducks swimming in group through the water. For a moment I wish I could be one of them. The peaceful moment was briefly interrupted when a local man attempted to take a bribe from us, claiming to be the "watcher" of the place. He was clearly lying, and we weren’t foolish enough to fall for it. We brushed it off and continued our walk back, cherishing the last moments of our little adventure.

Hopping back on our bikes, we rode toward Bengaluru. Along the way, we stopped for breakfast at 9:30 AM. The food was average, and I couldn’t eat much, as I’ve been unfamiliar to eating rice in the morning for the past few months. Nevertheless, the ride back was filled with the quiet satisfaction of a day well spent. Once home, I took a long, relaxing bath and wrapped myself under a warm blanket, lost in dreams of my own Terabithia.

Sometimes, all we need is a spontaneous trip, a moment to breathe, and a reminder of how magical the world can be when we least expect it.

A Perfect Weekend Getaway

Nandhi Hills

Some trips are so exciting that sleep becomes impossible. Our journey to Nandi Hills was one such adventure! We were so thrilled that we couldn't sleep the night before. Finally, at 3 AM, we set out on our trip, full of energy. The road was serene, the wind chilly, and the coldness refreshing. It was an experience in itself. As we drove through the winding roads, the air brushed against our faces, making us feel alive. However, our enthusiasm met a temporary roadblock,we were stuck in traffic for more than 45 minutes! But did we get bored? Not at all! We turned up the music, played our favorite tunes out loud, and even started dancing in the car, making the wait a memorable part of the journey.

Upon reaching Nandi Hills, we were welcomed by breathtaking views and lush greenery. However, as a nature enthusiast, I found myself drawn more to the tiny mud-cut shortcuts leading into the wild. Walking through these little trails, discovering hidden paths, and feeling the fresh earth beneath my feet was pure bliss.

One of the most heartwarming moments was when my friend started plucking wildflowers and handing them to me. Each flower felt like a precious token of our adventure. I later pressed them in my cute bucket book as a keepsake of this beautiful journey. As we continued exploring,we reached a pond. Behind it stood small statues and an archway that sent chills down my spine. The witchy vibes made me think of old folk tales and mysterious stories of witchcraft. Fascinated yet slightly spooked,we discovered a small pathway leading underneath the arch, opening into a forested area. The experience of walking through it was thrilling, adding an unexpected layer of excitement to our trip.

No trip is complete without food, and this one was no exception. We treated ourselves to ice cream, which felt like the perfect refreshment after all the walking. To top it off, we indulged in fresh mango slices sprinkled with salt and chili,a heavenly combination that enhanced the entire experience. After returning home, exhaustion finally caught up with us. We passed out like babies, dreaming of our wonderful adventure.

Nandi Hills was more than just a sightseeing spot, it was an experience filled with adventure, fun, and a touch of mystery. Whether it was dancing in traffic, exploring hidden paths, collecting wildflowers, every moment was unforgettable. If you're a nature lover and an adventure seeker, Nandi Hills is definitely a must-visit destination!

Into the Wild

A Thrilling Trip to Bannerghatta National Park

Have you ever screamed "WOAAH!" so loudly that even the animals turned to look at you? Well, that was me on my unforgettable trip to Bannerghatta National Park. This adventure had everything lions, tigers, elephants, and an unsuspecting aunty who became my safari buddy!Visiting Bannerghatta National Park was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. The excitement of seeing wild animals up close during the safari was unmatched. From the moment I stepped into the air-conditioned safari bus, I knew I was in for an unforgettable adventure.

As the bus started moving, I felt an adrenaline rush. The greenery around us created an immersive jungle experience. My heart pounded with excitement, and every time I spotted an animal, I couldn't help but scream, "Woaah!" in wonder. The animals I saw were deer in a group, a majestic lion and his lioness, resting under a tree, their golden fur shining in the sunlight.

As we drove through the dense forest, I spotted a group of deer sitting in nearby. They weren’t afraid of us,instead, they calmly observed, as if they were used to human visitors. Moving further, we reached a riverbank where a herd of elephants was gathered. The adults were eating leaves while playful baby elephants stayed close to their mothers. It was a heartwarming sight, witnessing their natural interactions in the wild. The real thrill came when I spotted a leopard moving through the cage inside. Soon after, a lioness confidently walked across the road, her presence commanding respect. Not far from her, a bear lay lazily, seemingly unbothered by the world around it.I saw two majestic tigers sitting side by side, their tails playfully entwined, lost in conversation like old lovers. It was as if they were whispering secrets only they could understand. Then, I saw a white tiger, his fur looked like snow.I wished I could pet him,and we could go for a trip to Himalayas as the snow and his skin matches and we could walk, jump and play in the snow.

Throughout the safari, the aunty sitting next to me was equally thrilled by my excitement. She even pointed out animals I had missed on the other side, making the experience even more delightful. As I watched the animals in their raw beauty, a thought struck me these creatures looked so magnificent without any skincare or beauty treatments. Nature had blessed them with unparalleled grace!

As we continued our journey, I noticed people working within the reserve. A thought crossed my mind what if the gates ever broke? Had anyone ever been attacked by an animal here? The unpredictability of the wild sent a shiver down my spine, yet it made the experience even more exciting.By the end of the trip, I found myself wishing I could work here as a safari driver, navigating these roads daily, witnessing the raw beauty of wildlife, and sharing the thrill with others.

After the safari, next stop was the mesmerizing Butterfly Park. As soon as I stepped inside, I found myself surrounded by thousands of butterflies fluttering all over the place. It felt like stepping into a magical world where colors danced in the air. Watching these delicate creatures glide effortlessly around me filled my heart with pure joy.

The final stop of my journey was to the zoo. Now, don't get me wrong the animals were amazing! I saw zebras, crocodiles, colorful parrots, hyenas, fox, wolf ...and even an ostrich. But for a moment, I felt a little sad. Seeing these magnificent creatures in cages made me wonder how would we feel if we were locked up in one place forever? No exploring, no adventures. Just people staring at us all day? Deep thoughts, I know. While looking in their eyes made me appreciate the true value of freedom.

A Trip to Remember

My trip to Bannerghatta National Park was a perfect blend of thrill, beauty, and deep reflections. Seeing animals in their natural habitat, and witnessing the magical world of butterflies made this an unforgettable adventure.I left the park with a newfound appreciation for wildlife and a promise to cherish nature in all its glory. After stepping out of the zoo, I decided to buy a Mango Bar. It was so refreshing! But that wasn’t enough. My love for mango took me to the next level.I got myself mango slices mixed with salt and chili powder. The first bite? Absolute bliss! The mix of spicy flavors was simply irresistible. It was the perfect way to end the day sweet, fiery, and unforgettable! So, if you ever get a chance, pack your excitement and please head to this wild paradise. You won’t regret it!

Escape to Nature

A Peaceful Escape to Cubbon Park: Feeling the Earth Beneath Me

Life in a busy city often demands a pause,a moment to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with nature. My recent visit to Cubbon Park was just that: an escape into a world of greenery, fresh air, and peaceful.
As I walked into the park, the towering trees welcomed me with their cool shade,I feel cool in between the busy city.Suddenly instead of the horn sound, busy people running towards huge buildings and polluted air I heard the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the sight of  families enjoying their time painted a picture of beauty. The lush green carpet of grass stretched before me, inviting me to experience something simple yet profound, lying down and feeling the earth beneath me.

I found a quiet spot away from the crowds, kicked off my shoes, and gently lowered myself onto the grass. As I lay there, a sense of calm washed over me. The soft grass brushed my back, and the gentle scent of the earth filled my senses. When i looked up all i could see was leaves and sky sight in between them. Closing my eyes, I let go of all thoughts and simply existed in the moment.

There was something deeply grounding about feeling the earth's warmth and texture against my skin. The cool breeze brushed past, carrying whispers of nature's symphony. It reminded me of how disconnected we often become from the simple joys of life, like the absolute pleasure of lying on the grass and embracing nature’s touch.

Time seemed to slow down as I let myself sink into this peaceful experience. The stress of deadlines, responsibilities, and the never-ending digital world faded away, leaving me with a refreshing sense of clarity. It was a moment of pure mindfulness—just me, the earth, and the sky above.

After what felt like an eternity in paradise, I sat up, feeling lighter and more refreshed than I had in weeks. My visit to Cubbon Park wasn't just a trip to a park; it was a soulful experience, a gentle reminder of the healing power of nature.

Sometimes, all we need is to lie down on the grass, feel the earth, and just breatheπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ.

A Royal Gem in the Heart of the City

A Royal Dream at Bangalore Palace

Stepping into Bangalore Palace felt like stepping back in time. The grand structure, with its majestic presence, instantly transported me to an era where kings and queens lived in regal splendor. The moment I walked through its grand entrance, I felt like a queen myself, ready to embrace the elegance and charm of an era.

As I wandered through the vast corridors, I imagined waking up in a royal bed, the sunlight streaming through grand windows draped in velvet. Running down the long hallways, I could almost hear the echoes of laughter from past celebrations. I twirled around, pretending to be part of a grand ball, where royal musicians played enchanting tunes, and noblemen and women danced in glittering gowns.Stepping into the grand halls, I could vividly picture the extravagant functions and royal weddings that must have taken place within these walls. The chandeliers shimmering above, the intricate wooden work, and the magical floors added to the palace's timeless beauty. Each corner whispered secrets of the past, and I eagerly listened to the echoes of history.

The magic didn’t stop indoors. As I stepped outside into the sprawling gardens, I thought about the soldiers who once guarded the palace, their disciplined lives, their bravery, and the countless stories they carried. I imagined myself living in ancient times, walking among them, witnessing the grandeur of royal processions and the life within the fortress.

I found a small stone bench under an arch covered with leaves, offering a breathtaking view of the palace. Sitting there, I let my imagination run wild, painting pictures of a time when this palace was alive with royal festivities, echoes of battles, and stories of love and power. For a moment, I wasn’t just a visitor,I was a part of history, reliving a world of splendor and grace.

Bangalore Palace is not just a monument; it is a doorway to the past, a place where imagination meets reality, and where, for a brief moment, I truly felt like a queen.

The Joyful Chaos of Our Train Journey from Kozhikode to Mangalore

There’s something uniquely thrilling about train journeys, and ours from Kozhikode to Mangalore was nothing short of an adventure filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments. The rush began the moment we arrived at Kozhikode Railway Station. As soon as the train approached, we braced ourselves for the ultimate challenge – getting to our booked seats!

With one hand gripping a friend’s hand and the other hand on food cover filled with snacks, biriyani and other delecious items we ran towards our compartment. The station was buzzing with people, but that only made the experience more exhilarating. Looking back while running, seeing our friends laughing and struggling to keep up, was the best part. It was a moment of pure joy, where chaos and happiness blended perfectly.

Once inside the train, another adventure awaited us. Our seats, though booked, were already occupied by passengers who had made themselves comfortable. With a mix of polite persuasion, we managed to reclaim our rightful spots. The small victories in train travel are what make the journey even more enjoyable!

As the train rolled out of Kozhikode, the real fun began. We sang songs at the top of our voices, sharing food and laughter with each other. The rhythm of the moving train seemed to match the beats of our excitement. People around us, instead of being annoyed, joined in our fun, sharing smiles and laughter. It was one of those rare moments when strangers became part of our happiness.

The journey was not just about reaching Mangalore; it was about the memories we made along the way. The scenic views outside, the friendship inside, and the infectious joy we spread made this trip one for the books. Looking back, it wasn’t just a train ride,it was an experience, a moment of pure bliss that we will cherish forever.

Our trip from Mangaluru to Chikmagalur was nothing short of an adventure! As soon as we boarded the tourist bus, excitement filled the air. The music started playing, and before we knew it, we were dancing and laughing like there was no tomorrow. The best part? Our teachers joined in! Seeing them let loose and groove with us made the journey even more special. The bus echoed with cheers, claps, and endless laughter, making it a ride to remember.

With hearts full of joy, we headed towards the misty hills of Chikmagalur, already knowing this trip would be unforgettable!  πŸšπŸ’ƒ✨

DAY 1:Exploring Chikmagalur- A Short Travel Tale.🌿

As we reached the calm town of Chikmagalur, the cool breeze welcomed us. Without wasting much time, we checked into a hotel, freshened up, and treated ourselves to a breakfast, fueling up for the day ahead. Our first stop was the magnificent Chennakesava Temple in Belur, an architectural marvel of the Hoysala dynasty. The intricate carvings and detailed sculptures left us in awe, transporting us back in time. The temple’s rich history and artistry made it a perfect start to our Chikmagalur adventure. While the temple resonated with spirituality, our group also took time to capture moments through our cameras and create fun memories. We sat by the temple premises, admiring the craftsmanship while sharing stories and enjoying the calm atmosphere.  If you're someone who loves history, architecture, or simply enjoys traveling with friends, Chennakesava Temple is a good destination. It’s a place that not only offers a glimpse into India’s glorious past but also makes for a wonderful getaway filled with learning and joy. Our trip was a reminder that some places are not just about sightseeing but about experiencing the magic they hold.

A Wild Ride to Mullayanagiri Peak

Our journey began from Chennakesava, and we set out with excitement to conquer Mullayanagiri Peak. The ride itself was an adventure, but the real fun began when we hopped into a jeep that would take us to the top. The biggest debate? Who would get the back seat first! After much playful argument, I was the first to claim the spot. And from that moment on, it was chaos—singing, laughing, and screaming like there was no tomorrow. Every time we overtook another jeep, we made fun of them like we were in some kind of wild race.

Halfway up, we took a break to grab some food. Some of us were skeptical about hygiene, but our gang? We ate like there was no tomorrow! Once refueled, we switched seats, reigniting the madness with more screaming and laughter.

As we neared the top, the wind became stronger, and we could feel the chill in the air. That’s when I realized my Converse shoes were definitely not made for trekking! My juniors, ever so caring yet mischievous, held my hand through the tricky slopes while teasing me endlessly.

Reaching the peak felt surreal. We rewarded ourselves with ice cream, and at that moment, everything felt perfect...the cool breeze, the taste of ice cream, the endless laughter. I wish I could freeze that moment forever. It was pure magic.

From there, we set off toward the nearby peaks, embracing the beauty of trekking. Every step was filled with laughter especially when the cows decided to chase us! We joked about our lack of stamina, yet somehow, we always found ourselves getting competitive, racing to see who could reach the top first. And when we finally made it to peakpoint ,again it was magical. Every aching step felt worth it. The view stretched endlessly, a reminder of why we do this.

From the peak, we spotted small caves nestled in the rocks. Curiosity kicked in, and I wanted to explore them. But something held me back. An unexplainable hesitation. And after watching Manjummel Boys, I can't help but feel that maybe, just maybe, the universe was stopping me for a reasonπŸ˜‚.

After an exhilarating journey, we were completely exhausted—our legs felt numb, but that didn’t stop us from screaming with joy. Every time we overtook another jeep, we burst into laughter, making fun of the race. The best part? Teasing our teachers’ jeeps as we sped past them!

Once we reached the base, we headed straight to the hotel, devoured our food, and boarded the bus. Tired as we were, the energy never faded. The moment the music played, we were back on our feet, dancing like there was no tomorrow. Eventually, exhaustion took over, and we passed out, only to wake up to a breathtakingly beautiful morning in Dandeli—one we’d never forget.

DAY 2:Dandeli - The Ultimate Water Adventure

Our second day in Dandeli started with excitement as we checked into our hotel rooms, quickly changed into our water sports outfits, and fueled up with a delicious breakfast. Then, it was time for the real adventure to begin!

Dandeli was the place I enjoyed the most.I've always loved water, and this experience was nothing short of amazing. From thrilling water activities to endless laughter, we did everything with full energy, not losing an ounce of enthusiasm.

One of the most unforgettable moments was when we all got into a group boat. It was pure fun—singing, teasing students from other colleges, and getting teased back in return. The best part? Playfully splashing water at each other! The chaos, the laughter, and the friendly rivalry made it all the more memorable.

And then came the highlight of the day—we jumped into the water! At first, everyone was a bit hesitant, teasing each other with dramatic cries of, "Bhaiya, help us if we die!" But once we were in, it was magical. The cool blue-green water, the feeling of floating freely, and the sight of fish swimming around made it surreal.

Next, we tried kayaking in pairs. None of us knew what we were doing, but somehow, we managed. It was a mix of struggle and fun, paddles going in the wrong directions, endless teasing, and, of course, splashing more water on others, including students from different colleges.

After an adrenaline-packed session of water sports, we stumbled back to our rooms, exhausted but starving. We devoured our food like there was no tomorrow, then just sat around, chilling and letting the tiredness settle in.

As the evening rolled in, we headed straight to the pool. Jumping in, splashing around, and playing for what felt like hours—it was pure joy. Then came the rain dance, where we let loose, danced our hearts out with the teachers, and, of course, ended up back in the pool again. The laughter was endless, and at one point, I laughed so hard that I couldn’t even feel my stomach anymore!

After drying off, we changed into fresh clothes and no surprise ate again. The night had its own magic. There were so many beach chairs, so we put them together, spread out our blankets, and lay there under the open sky, sharing gossip and laughing till our stomachs ached again. Just when we thought the night couldn't get any wilder, our guide casually mentioned that there might be snakes around. In a split second, we were all up, running for our lives!

Morning came too soon. We got up early and took a walk through nature. The guide told there is a nearby lake with crocodiles when we reach there we didnt even see the remainings of a fishπŸ˜‚.Then we head back to room freshened up,ate breakfast and without wasting any time, started our journey to Gokarna, carrying memories of yet another unforgettable day.

DAY 3: Gokarna - A Simple Yet Serene Experience

After an exciting time in Dandeli, we traveled to Gokarna, reaching there to explore its beautiful beaches. Our journey led us through a small forested trail, eventually bringing us to the famous Om Beach. Climbing onto a rock, we sat there in silence, letting the waves crash against the shore while soaking in the calmness of the moment. Gokarna, in its simplicity, felt peaceful and raw just the kind of experience we needed.

As evening approached, we boarded into bus, changed into comfortable clothes, and settled in for our journey to Mangalore. Exhaustion from four sleepless nights and adventure-packed days finally caught up with us. At the railway station, we were so drained that we simply lay down on the benches, resting wherever we could.

When the train arrived, I found my seat was in a different section, but I didn’t mind. Gazing out of the window at 5 AM, the cool breeze brushing against my face, I reflected on the countless memories we had made. Before I knew it, I drifted into sleep, carrying with me the warmth of the journey.

We finally reached Kozhikode, where home felt like the perfect destination after days of travel. The first thing I did was take a bath, probably the longest and most refreshing one in ages! Then, slipping into my cozy bed, I slept like a baby, filled with gratitude for having such a beautiful life.
