A Perfect Weekend Getaway

Nandhi Hills

Some trips are so exciting that sleep becomes impossible. Our journey to Nandi Hills was one such adventure! We were so thrilled that we couldn't sleep the night before. Finally, at 3 AM, we set out on our trip, full of energy. The road was serene, the wind chilly, and the coldness refreshing. It was an experience in itself. As we drove through the winding roads, the air brushed against our faces, making us feel alive. However, our enthusiasm met a temporary roadblock,we were stuck in traffic for more than 45 minutes! But did we get bored? Not at all! We turned up the music, played our favorite tunes out loud, and even started dancing in the car, making the wait a memorable part of the journey.

Upon reaching Nandi Hills, we were welcomed by breathtaking views and lush greenery. However, as a nature enthusiast, I found myself drawn more to the tiny mud-cut shortcuts leading into the wild. Walking through these little trails, discovering hidden paths, and feeling the fresh earth beneath my feet was pure bliss.

One of the most heartwarming moments was when my friend started plucking wildflowers and handing them to me. Each flower felt like a precious token of our adventure. I later pressed them in my cute bucket book as a keepsake of this beautiful journey. As we continued exploring,we reached a pond. Behind it stood small statues and an archway that sent chills down my spine. The witchy vibes made me think of old folk tales and mysterious stories of witchcraft. Fascinated yet slightly spooked,we discovered a small pathway leading underneath the arch, opening into a forested area. The experience of walking through it was thrilling, adding an unexpected layer of excitement to our trip.

No trip is complete without food, and this one was no exception. We treated ourselves to ice cream, which felt like the perfect refreshment after all the walking. To top it off, we indulged in fresh mango slices sprinkled with salt and chili,a heavenly combination that enhanced the entire experience. After returning home, exhaustion finally caught up with us. We passed out like babies, dreaming of our wonderful adventure.

Nandi Hills was more than just a sightseeing spot, it was an experience filled with adventure, fun, and a touch of mystery. Whether it was dancing in traffic, exploring hidden paths, collecting wildflowers, every moment was unforgettable. If you're a nature lover and an adventure seeker, Nandi Hills is definitely a must-visit destination!

Into the Wild

A Thrilling Trip to Bannerghatta National Park

Have you ever screamed "WOAAH!" so loudly that even the animals turned to look at you? Well, that was me on my unforgettable trip to Bannerghatta National Park. This adventure had everything lions, tigers, elephants, and an unsuspecting aunty who became my safari buddy!Visiting Bannerghatta National Park was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. The excitement of seeing wild animals up close during the safari was unmatched. From the moment I stepped into the air-conditioned safari bus, I knew I was in for an unforgettable adventure.

As the bus started moving, I felt an adrenaline rush. The greenery around us created an immersive jungle experience. My heart pounded with excitement, and every time I spotted an animal, I couldn't help but scream, "Woaah!" in wonder. The animals I saw were deer in a group, a majestic lion and his lioness, resting under a tree, their golden fur shining in the sunlight.

As we drove through the dense forest, I spotted a group of deer sitting in nearby. They weren’t afraid of us,instead, they calmly observed, as if they were used to human visitors. Moving further, we reached a riverbank where a herd of elephants was gathered. The adults were eating leaves while playful baby elephants stayed close to their mothers. It was a heartwarming sight, witnessing their natural interactions in the wild. The real thrill came when I spotted a leopard moving through the cage inside. Soon after, a lioness confidently walked across the road, her presence commanding respect. Not far from her, a bear lay lazily, seemingly unbothered by the world around it.I saw two majestic tigers sitting side by side, their tails playfully entwined, lost in conversation like old lovers. It was as if they were whispering secrets only they could understand. Then, I saw a white tiger, his fur looked like snow.I wished I could pet him,and we could go for a trip to Himalayas as the snow and his skin matches and we could walk, jump and play in the snow.

Throughout the safari, the aunty sitting next to me was equally thrilled by my excitement. She even pointed out animals I had missed on the other side, making the experience even more delightful. As I watched the animals in their raw beauty, a thought struck me these creatures looked so magnificent without any skincare or beauty treatments. Nature had blessed them with unparalleled grace!

As we continued our journey, I noticed people working within the reserve. A thought crossed my mind what if the gates ever broke? Had anyone ever been attacked by an animal here? The unpredictability of the wild sent a shiver down my spine, yet it made the experience even more exciting.By the end of the trip, I found myself wishing I could work here as a safari driver, navigating these roads daily, witnessing the raw beauty of wildlife, and sharing the thrill with others.

After the safari, next stop was the mesmerizing Butterfly Park. As soon as I stepped inside, I found myself surrounded by thousands of butterflies fluttering all over the place. It felt like stepping into a magical world where colors danced in the air. Watching these delicate creatures glide effortlessly around me filled my heart with pure joy.

The final stop of my journey was to the zoo. Now, don't get me wrong the animals were amazing! I saw zebras, crocodiles, colorful parrots, hyenas, fox, wolf ...and even an ostrich. But for a moment, I felt a little sad. Seeing these magnificent creatures in cages made me wonder how would we feel if we were locked up in one place forever? No exploring, no adventures. Just people staring at us all day? Deep thoughts, I know. While looking in their eyes made me appreciate the true value of freedom.

A Trip to Remember

My trip to Bannerghatta National Park was a perfect blend of thrill, beauty, and deep reflections. Seeing animals in their natural habitat, and witnessing the magical world of butterflies made this an unforgettable adventure.I left the park with a newfound appreciation for wildlife and a promise to cherish nature in all its glory. After stepping out of the zoo, I decided to buy a Mango Bar. It was so refreshing! But that wasn’t enough. My love for mango took me to the next level.I got myself mango slices mixed with salt and chili powder. The first bite? Absolute bliss! The mix of spicy flavors was simply irresistible. It was the perfect way to end the day sweet, fiery, and unforgettable! So, if you ever get a chance, pack your excitement and please head to this wild paradise. You won’t regret it!

Escape to Nature

A Peaceful Escape to Cubbon Park: Feeling the Earth Beneath Me

Life in a busy city often demands a pause,a moment to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with nature. My recent visit to Cubbon Park was just that: an escape into a world of greenery, fresh air, and peaceful.
As I walked into the park, the towering trees welcomed me with their cool shade,I feel cool in between the busy city.Suddenly instead of the horn sound, busy people running towards huge buildings and polluted air I heard the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the sight of  families enjoying their time painted a picture of beauty. The lush green carpet of grass stretched before me, inviting me to experience something simple yet profound, lying down and feeling the earth beneath me.

I found a quiet spot away from the crowds, kicked off my shoes, and gently lowered myself onto the grass. As I lay there, a sense of calm washed over me. The soft grass brushed my back, and the gentle scent of the earth filled my senses. When i looked up all i could see was leaves and sky sight in between them. Closing my eyes, I let go of all thoughts and simply existed in the moment.

There was something deeply grounding about feeling the earth's warmth and texture against my skin. The cool breeze brushed past, carrying whispers of nature's symphony. It reminded me of how disconnected we often become from the simple joys of life, like the absolute pleasure of lying on the grass and embracing nature’s touch.

Time seemed to slow down as I let myself sink into this peaceful experience. The stress of deadlines, responsibilities, and the never-ending digital world faded away, leaving me with a refreshing sense of clarity. It was a moment of pure mindfulness—just me, the earth, and the sky above.

After what felt like an eternity in paradise, I sat up, feeling lighter and more refreshed than I had in weeks. My visit to Cubbon Park wasn't just a trip to a park; it was a soulful experience, a gentle reminder of the healing power of nature.

Sometimes, all we need is to lie down on the grass, feel the earth, and just breathe๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ.

A Royal Gem in the Heart of the City

A Royal Dream at Bangalore Palace

Stepping into Bangalore Palace felt like stepping back in time. The grand structure, with its majestic presence, instantly transported me to an era where kings and queens lived in regal splendor. The moment I walked through its grand entrance, I felt like a queen myself, ready to embrace the elegance and charm of an era.

As I wandered through the vast corridors, I imagined waking up in a royal bed, the sunlight streaming through grand windows draped in velvet. Running down the long hallways, I could almost hear the echoes of laughter from past celebrations. I twirled around, pretending to be part of a grand ball, where royal musicians played enchanting tunes, and noblemen and women danced in glittering gowns.Stepping into the grand halls, I could vividly picture the extravagant functions and royal weddings that must have taken place within these walls. The chandeliers shimmering above, the intricate wooden work, and the magical floors added to the palace's timeless beauty. Each corner whispered secrets of the past, and I eagerly listened to the echoes of history.

The magic didn’t stop indoors. As I stepped outside into the sprawling gardens, I thought about the soldiers who once guarded the palace, their disciplined lives, their bravery, and the countless stories they carried. I imagined myself living in ancient times, walking among them, witnessing the grandeur of royal processions and the life within the fortress.

I found a small stone bench under an arch covered with leaves, offering a breathtaking view of the palace. Sitting there, I let my imagination run wild, painting pictures of a time when this palace was alive with royal festivities, echoes of battles, and stories of love and power. For a moment, I wasn’t just a visitor,I was a part of history, reliving a world of splendor and grace.

Bangalore Palace is not just a monument; it is a doorway to the past, a place where imagination meets reality, and where, for a brief moment, I truly felt like a queen.

From lush green coffee estates to serene beaches, this trip had everything a traveler could dream of!

The Joyful Chaos of Our Train Journey from Kozhikode to Mangalore

There’s something uniquely thrilling about train journeys, and ours from Kozhikode to Mangalore was nothing short of an adventure filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments. The rush began the moment we arrived at Kozhikode Railway Station. As soon as the train approached, we braced ourselves for the ultimate challenge – getting to our booked seats!

With one hand gripping a friend’s hand and the other hand on food cover filled with snacks, biriyani and other delecious items we ran towards our compartment. The station was buzzing with people, but that only made the experience more exhilarating. Looking back while running, seeing our friends laughing and struggling to keep up, was the best part. It was a moment of pure joy, where chaos and happiness blended perfectly.

Once inside the train, another adventure awaited us. Our seats, though booked, were already occupied by passengers who had made themselves comfortable. With a mix of polite persuasion, we managed to reclaim our rightful spots. The small victories in train travel are what make the journey even more enjoyable!

As the train rolled out of Kozhikode, the real fun began. We sang songs at the top of our voices, sharing food and laughter with each other. The rhythm of the moving train seemed to match the beats of our excitement. People around us, instead of being annoyed, joined in our fun, sharing smiles and laughter. It was one of those rare moments when strangers became part of our happiness.

The journey was not just about reaching Mangalore; it was about the memories we made along the way. The scenic views outside, the friendship inside, and the infectious joy we spread made this trip one for the books. Looking back, it wasn’t just a train ride,it was an experience, a moment of pure bliss that we will cherish forever.

A Joyful Bus Journey: Mangaluru to Chikmagalur๐Ÿš✨

Our trip from Mangaluru to Chikmagalur was nothing short of an adventure! As soon as we boarded the tourist bus, excitement filled the air. The music started playing, and before we knew it, we were dancing and laughing like there was no tomorrow. The best part? Our teachers joined in! Seeing them let loose and groove with us made the journey even more special. The bus echoed with cheers, claps, and endless laughter, making it a ride to remember.

With hearts full of joy, we headed towards the misty hills of Chikmagalur, already knowing this trip would be unforgettable!  ๐Ÿš๐Ÿ’ƒ✨

DAY 1:Exploring Chikmagalur- A Short Travel Tale.๐ŸŒฟ

As we reached the calm town of Chikmagalur, the cool breeze welcomed us. Without wasting much time, we checked into a hotel, freshened up, and treated ourselves to a breakfast, fueling up for the day ahead. Our first stop was the magnificent Chennakesava Temple in Belur, an architectural marvel of the Hoysala dynasty. The intricate carvings and detailed sculptures left us in awe, transporting us back in time. The temple’s rich history and artistry made it a perfect start to our Chikmagalur adventure. While the temple resonated with spirituality, our group also took time to capture moments through our cameras and create fun memories. We sat by the temple premises, admiring the craftsmanship while sharing stories and enjoying the calm atmosphere.  If you're someone who loves history, architecture, or simply enjoys traveling with friends, Chennakesava Temple is a good destination. It’s a place that not only offers a glimpse into India’s glorious past but also makes for a wonderful getaway filled with learning and joy. Our trip was a reminder that some places are not just about sightseeing but about experiencing the magic they hold.

A Wild Ride to Mullayanagiri Peak

Our journey began from Chennakesava, and we set out with excitement to conquer Mullayanagiri Peak. The ride itself was an adventure, but the real fun began when we hopped into a jeep that would take us to the top. The biggest debate? Who would get the back seat first! After much playful argument, I was the first to claim the spot. And from that moment on, it was chaos—singing, laughing, and screaming like there was no tomorrow. Every time we overtook another jeep, we made fun of them like we were in some kind of wild race.

Halfway up, we took a break to grab some food. Some of us were skeptical about hygiene, but our gang? We ate like there was no tomorrow! Once refueled, we switched seats, reigniting the madness with more screaming and laughter.

As we neared the top, the wind became stronger, and we could feel the chill in the air. That’s when I realized my Converse shoes were definitely not made for trekking! My juniors, ever so caring yet mischievous, held my hand through the tricky slopes while teasing me endlessly.

Reaching the peak felt surreal. We rewarded ourselves with ice cream, and at that moment, everything felt perfect...the cool breeze, the taste of ice cream, the endless laughter. I wish I could freeze that moment forever. It was pure magic.

From there, we set off toward the nearby peaks, embracing the beauty of trekking. Every step was filled with laughter especially when the cows decided to chase us! We joked about our lack of stamina, yet somehow, we always found ourselves getting competitive, racing to see who could reach the top first. And when we finally made it to peakpoint ,again it was magical. Every aching step felt worth it. The view stretched endlessly, a reminder of why we do this.

From the peak, we spotted small caves nestled in the rocks. Curiosity kicked in, and I wanted to explore them. But something held me back. An unexplainable hesitation. And after watching Manjummel Boys, I can't help but feel that maybe, just maybe, the universe was stopping me for a reason๐Ÿ˜‚.

After an exhilarating journey, we were completely exhausted—our legs felt numb, but that didn’t stop us from screaming with joy. Every time we overtook another jeep, we burst into laughter, making fun of the race. The best part? Teasing our teachers’ jeeps as we sped past them!

Once we reached the base, we headed straight to the hotel, devoured our food, and boarded the bus. Tired as we were, the energy never faded. The moment the music played, we were back on our feet, dancing like there was no tomorrow. Eventually, exhaustion took over, and we passed out, only to wake up to a breathtakingly beautiful morning in Dandeli—one we’d never forget.

DAY 2:Dandeli - The Ultimate Water Adventure

Our second day in Dandeli started with excitement as we checked into our hotel rooms, quickly changed into our water sports outfits, and fueled up with a delicious breakfast. Then, it was time for the real adventure to begin!

Dandeli was the place I enjoyed the most.I've always loved water, and this experience was nothing short of amazing. From thrilling water activities to endless laughter, we did everything with full energy, not losing an ounce of enthusiasm.

One of the most unforgettable moments was when we all got into a group boat. It was pure fun—singing, teasing students from other colleges, and getting teased back in return. The best part? Playfully splashing water at each other! The chaos, the laughter, and the friendly rivalry made it all the more memorable.

And then came the highlight of the day—we jumped into the water! At first, everyone was a bit hesitant, teasing each other with dramatic cries of, "Bhaiya, help us if we die!" But once we were in, it was magical. The cool blue-green water, the feeling of floating freely, and the sight of fish swimming around made it surreal.

Next, we tried kayaking in pairs. None of us knew what we were doing, but somehow, we managed. It was a mix of struggle and fun, paddles going in the wrong directions, endless teasing, and, of course, splashing more water on others, including students from different colleges.

After an adrenaline-packed session of water sports, we stumbled back to our rooms, exhausted but starving. We devoured our food like there was no tomorrow, then just sat around, chilling and letting the tiredness settle in.

As the evening rolled in, we headed straight to the pool. Jumping in, splashing around, and playing for what felt like hours—it was pure joy. Then came the rain dance, where we let loose, danced our hearts out with the teachers, and, of course, ended up back in the pool again. The laughter was endless, and at one point, I laughed so hard that I couldn’t even feel my stomach anymore!

After drying off, we changed into fresh clothes and no surprise ate again. The night had its own magic. There were so many beach chairs, so we put them together, spread out our blankets, and lay there under the open sky, sharing gossip and laughing till our stomachs ached again. Just when we thought the night couldn't get any wilder, our guide casually mentioned that there might be snakes around. In a split second, we were all up, running for our lives!

Morning came too soon. We got up early and took a walk through nature. The guide told there is a nearby lake with crocodiles when we reach there we didnt even see the remainings of a fish๐Ÿ˜‚.Then we head back to room freshened up,ate breakfast and without wasting any time, started our journey to Gokarna, carrying memories of yet another unforgettable day.

DAY 3: Gokarna - A Simple Yet Serene Experience

After an exciting time in Dandeli, we traveled to Gokarna, reaching there to explore its beautiful beaches. Our journey led us through a small forested trail, eventually bringing us to the famous Om Beach. Climbing onto a rock, we sat there in silence, letting the waves crash against the shore while soaking in the calmness of the moment. Gokarna, in its simplicity, felt peaceful and raw just the kind of experience we needed.

As evening approached, we boarded into bus, changed into comfortable clothes, and settled in for our journey to Mangalore. Exhaustion from four sleepless nights and adventure-packed days finally caught up with us. At the railway station, we were so drained that we simply lay down on the benches, resting wherever we could.

When the train arrived, I found my seat was in a different section, but I didn’t mind. Gazing out of the window at 5 AM, the cool breeze brushing against my face, I reflected on the countless memories we had made. Before I knew it, I drifted into sleep, carrying with me the warmth of the journey.

We finally reached Kozhikode, where home felt like the perfect destination after days of travel. The first thing I did was take a bath, probably the longest and most refreshing one in ages! Then, slipping into my cozy bed, I slept like a baby, filled with gratitude for having such a beautiful life.

A Rain-Kissed Sunset

An Evening Walk to Madiwala Lake: A Refreshing Escape in the City

There’s something enchanting about evening walks, especially when nature decides to surprise you. One such evening, I found myself walking towards Madiwala Lake. The sky was painted in different shades of blue, light purple and greyish. The lake mirrored this breathtaking scene, its calm waters waving gently with the evening breeze.I walked along the path, feeling the cool air against my skin, absorbing the beauty of the place and one side the view of lake and lush greenery on other side. As I reached the grill that extends slightly into the water, I stood there, taking in the peaceful view. The moment felt perfect until universe decided to add a little magic.

A sudden drizzle ๐ŸŒง️.

The warm sunset glow met the cool touch of the rain, creating an atmosphere that felt almost non realistic. I opened my umbrella, but instead of rushing for shelter, I stayed there and my eyes stayed fixed on the lake. The raindrops hit the surface, sending tiny waves across the water, each droplet catching the golden light like scattered diamonds. It felt like stars dancing on the lake. The gentle waves carried the floating greenery, making it look as if the earth itself was flowing.

Birds flew smoothly over the lake, not caring about the rain. Some dived into the water and popped back up with a happy splash. Watching them made me wish I could jump in too, feel the cool water, and enjoy the moment just like them.

To make the moment even more beautiful,I played Nebulakal, a soulful Malayalam song that perfectly matched the rain, the water, and my feelings. The melody mixed with the gentle whispers of the wind and the soft sound of raindrops, making the scene even more magical.

Standing there under the open sky, surrounded by nature’s quiet music, I felt completely at peace. It was one of those rare times when everything slowed down, and all that mattered was the rain, the lake, and the simple joy of being in the moment.

I felt that Madiwala Lake is more than just a body of water, it is a reminder that even in the middle of a busy metropolis, nature finds a way to offer relief. And for those willing to take a break from the digital screens and traffic jams, it stands as a proof that peace is just a walk away.

The rain fell into the lake harder, creating heavy waves that made the island across the water look almost unreal. For a moment, I felt like I was in an adventure story standing alone by the water, looking at a place full of secrets.

As the rain softened and the night slowly took over, I smiled, some mysteries are best left as they are. But maybe one day, I'll find a way to explore that island.I walked away with a heart full of peace, carrying the memory of that graceful evening.

Sometimes, the simplest of moments an evening walk, a sudden rain, a quiet lake can hold the most overwhelming beauty. ๐ŸŒง️✨.Would I go back again? Without a doubt. But some moments, like this one, can never be recreated, they can only be cherished๐Ÿƒ.

A Journey Through History and Beauty

Exploring the Timeless Ruins of Hampi: A Journey Through History and Beauty

After watching Anandham, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking visuals of Hampi, which played a significant role in the movie’s charm. The film beautifully captured the ancient ruins, striking landscapes, and rich heritage of this historic town, making it impossible not to fall in love with its timeless beauty. The stone-carved temples,vastboulder-strewn landscapes, and the serene Tungabhadra River created an enchanting atmosphere that left me longing to experience it in person. The idea of walking through the same places where the characters shared heartfelt moments and exploring the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire fills me with excitement. Hampi was there high on my travel bucket list, waiting to be explored!

And 8 years later I'm here...!!!

Arrival and First Impressions

Reaching Hampi is an adventure in itself. I took a train to Hospet, the nearest railway station, and then a short auto-rickshaw ride brought me to the heart of Hampi. As I stepped into the town, I was greeted by an ethereal landscape dominated by massive boulders, lush banana plantations, and the Tungabhadra River flowing gracefully through the region.

A Walk Through the Glorious Past

Virupaksha Temple – The Living Heritage

My adventure began at Virupaksha Temple, one of the oldest and most revered temples in Hampi. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is still functional, with daily prayers and rituals. The towering gopuram and intricate carvings left me in awe. Walking through its sacred halls, I felt the spiritual energy and deep-rooted history of this magnificent structure.

One of the best ways to enjoy the essence of Virupaksha Temple is to sit in its ancient mandapas. These pillared halls which is now partially damaged due to the scars of time, once witnesses to grand assemblies, now offer a peaceful respite to weary travelers. The cool stone floors provide a contrast to the warm breeze, birds flying in massive groups, and the play of sunlight filtering through the pillars creates an ethereal atmosphere. From here, one can watch the rhythmic flow of devotees, the playful antics of monkeys, and the ever-majestic temple elephant, who patiently interacts with visitors. Sitting in silence, absorbing the energy of the space, one can’t help but feel a deep connection with the past.

Kadalekalu Ganesha – The Giant Idol

A visit to Kadalekalu Ganesha introduced me to a colossal monolithic statue of Lord Ganesha. Carved from a single boulder, the idol stands majestically against the backdrop of Hampi’s rocky landscape. The peaceful ambiance around the temple made it a perfect spot for a moment of reflection.

Upon reaching the temple, a sense of tranquility envelops you. The massive monolithic Ganesha idol, sculpted from a single block of granite, stands tall, exuding a divine presence. The temple's open mandapa provides a perfect place to sit and reflect. The intricately carved pillars tell tales of Vijayanagara craftsmanship, and the gentle breeze carries whispers of history. Whether you're a devotee, a history enthusiast, or a weary traveler, sitting here feels like stepping into another era.

One of the most rewarding aspects of visiting Kadalekalu Ganesha Temple is the stunning view it offers. As you sit on the temple steps or nearby rocks, you are treated to a panoramic vista of Hampi’s surreal landscape. The sight of the Virupaksha Temple, the Tungabhadra River winding through the ruins, and the golden hues of boulders reflecting the sun is simply breathtaking. Sun, in particular, paints the sky in warm tones, making the scene even more magical.

Queen’s Bath – A Royal Retreat

From there in a small auto I reached The Queen’s Bath, the highlight of my trip was Queens bath. Because, while watching the movie I was thrilled to see it. It was a fascinating glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle of the Vijayanagara queens. For a moment I imagined myself as a queen. This enclosed bathing complex features a large pool surrounded by ornate balconies and arched corridors. Despite being centuries old, the structure still exudes an air of elegance.

While exploring the site, I met a kind lady, who graciously offered me water to refresh myself under the scorching sun. She also suggested a few more must-visit places in Hampi, including the majestic Lotus Mahal, Mahanavami Dippa, Pushkarani, Underground Shiva Temple, Elephant Stables.

Lotus Mahal – The Architectural Wonder

Next I visited the Lotus Mahal, an elegant palace with Indo-Islamic architectural influences. Before entering into its beauty there was a small stone bench under a tree were I sit for quite some time. From there I could feel the wind in my hair and face. Behind that tree there was a fort like structured building, full of grasses and the grasses were like sea-waves in the wind. And for a second I thought I was in Scotland and soon realized "No... this is India!!!", and it made me feel so good. I sit there for sometime alone with my beautiful thoughts. And coming back to lotus temple, its name derives from the lotus-like design of the domes and arches. This airy structure served as a recreational palace for the royal women. Surrounded by lush greenery, the symmetrical beauty of the Lotus Mahal made it a sight to behold.

Elephant Stables – A Royal Shelter

A short walk from the Lotus Mahal led me to the Elephant Stables, a massive structure that once housed the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire. The stable comprises a series of interconnected domes, each unique in design. The grandeur of these stone chambers reflects the importance of elephants in royal processions and battles.

Sri Vijaya Vittala Temple – The Musical Marvel

Then I visited the Sri Vijaya Vittala Temple, famous for its iconic Stone Chariot and musical pillars. This temple is a testament to the architectural brilliance of the Vijayanagara era. The carvings on the walls narrate stories from Hindu mythology, and the craftsmanship of the musical pillars, which produce different tones when tapped, was simply mind-blowing.

I felt the musical pillars. To know the exact location I took the movie clip from YouTube and find by exploring the scenes and observing the place. It felt so good when I took my eyes from the phone and looked straight.... there it was the "Musical Pillars". I hugged the pillars and feel the cold stone and placed my ear on stone, and with my fingers I made some knocks then I heard it. The music was not so good as the knocks was made by me๐Ÿ˜‚. And I stood there for couple of minutes doing nothing.

Pushkarani and Mahanavami Dippa

Pushkaranis are ancient water tanks that played a vital role in the religious and social life of Vijayanagara. These stepwells, typically attached to temples, were used for ritualistic bathing, religious ceremonies, and daily water needs. Standing beside the Pushkarani, I could feel the echoes of history. Imagine priests and royals performing rituals, the green water reflecting the grandeur of the empire, and the sacred chants resonating in the air.

Mahanavami Dibba, also known as the Dasara Platform. Standing atop the Dibba, I could almost hear the echoes of festivities—elephants marching, dancers performing, and the royal court immersed in jubilations during Navaratri celebrations.

Underground Shiva Temple – A Hidden Gem

This was my last stop, One of the most intriguing places I explored was the Underground Shiva Temple. Partially submerged in water along with monkey shits and their urine I guess๐Ÿ˜‚...it smelled so bad. This temple is an architectural wonder that remains hidden beneath the earth’s surface. Walking through its dimly lit corridors, I felt a mysterious aura that added to the charm of this ancient structure and I wanted to stand there and imagine the old scenarios happened there. But i couldn't spent more time there because of the bad odour.

Its Food Time

When I reach Hospet railway station there was a small shop outside the station from were I ate Dosa  and chutney which was heavenly.

Walking through the sunlit paths of Hampi can be exhausting, and what better way to cool down than with a fresh glass of sugarcane juice? I found a roadside vendor pressing fresh sugarcane into a glass, adding a touch of lemon and ginger for extra zing. The first sip was incredibly refreshing—the perfect antidote to the heat. It was naturally sweet, hydrating, and just what I needed to recharge for the rest of my exploration.

After a long day of exploring Hampi’s mesmerizing temples and boulder-strewn landscapes, I stopped by a small eatery for a quick bite. I opted for a plate of noodles, expecting something simple yet fulfilling. The dish turned out to be quite average—not too spicy, not too bland, just a balanced mix of flavors.

My journey to Hampi was an incredible blend of history, adventure, and serenity. Whether it was admiring the ancient ruins, hiking through boulder-strewn landscapes, or simply soaking in the tranquility of the river, every moment was special. If you are someone who loves history, nature, and offbeat destinations, Hampi is a place that should be on your travel bucket list๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ›•!!!
